23 years of technical depth, available to your team.

Amador Architecture was founded by Jose Amador, a California-licensed architect with more than two decades of experience across architecture, construction management, and facilities management. The firm exists to solve a specific problem: prime architecture and engineering firms regularly encounter projects that require specialized expertise — DSA compliance, federal construction standards, accessibility code — that they don’t maintain in-house. Rather than turn down the work or carry the overhead of a full-time specialist, these firms bring in Amador Architecture as a subconsultant.

The firm’s approach is straightforward: deep technical preparation, precise documentation, and reliable delivery. It is built for the work that happens behind the scenes — the regulatory navigation, the quality oversight, the code analysis — that determines whether a complex project succeeds

Experience

Jose Amador’s 23-year career spans K-12 and higher education facilities, military and federal projects, civic buildings, and commercial work. He has managed more than 35 projects across the full project lifecycle — from design through construction administration and close-out — with particular depth in DSA-governed school construction and federal construction quality management. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture and is licensed in California through reciprocity.

Why a Sub-Consultant?

Amador Architecture deliberately operates as a technical sub-consultant rather than a competing design studio. This means prime firms can engage the firm’s expertise on a project-by-project basis without concern that the relationship competes with their own client work. The firm integrates into your team, delivers the specialized technical scope, and lets your firm maintain the client relationship.
